The 3 Crowns

The 3 Crowns Restaurant and Public House opened its doors in 2013. Young entrepreneur Luca Mathiszig-Lee (who recently opened Hill & Szrok Master Butcher & Cookshop), head chef Lee Urch (the protégé of chef Jeremy Lee for over 10 years) and Rohit Patkar (ex-front of house at The Boundary for 5 years) came together to revitalise this now hugely popular watering hole.

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, with Saturday brunch and Sunday lunch to boot, the main space is divided into two defined areas – the more traditional public house and a dining room with an open kitchen. The interiors are classic, using quality materials including solid oak bars, leather banquettes, wooden tables and chairs on an oiled oak floor.

Head chef Lee believes that the bedrock of good British cuisine relies upon locally sourced, seasonal ingredients intelligently brought together to create deliciously heart-warming dishes. Lee’s flare and creativity showcases why it’s no surprise that he was cherry-picked for his talent and formed such a close working relationship with Jeremy Lee for over a decade. Lee’s wholesome approach to the daily-changing menu eschews trends and fads, preferring a traditional approach of no nonsense, honest cooking.
